Every person ever born has been born with a sinful nature. You could say that we are "bent" toward evil (Psalm 51:5; Matthew 15:19-20; Romans 3:10-12). That sinful nature and our inherent tendency to do evil has severed man's relationship with God (Isaiah 59:1-2; Romans 6:23). The surprising thing however, is that there is absolutely NOTHING we can do to reestablish that relationship. As a matter of fact, the best we can do will never even come close to what is required to come before the Almighty God (Isaiah 64:6).     Most religions of the world are a result of man's efforts to try and reach God. However, unlike those religions, Christianity shows the extreme effort on God's part to reach us (John 3:16; Colossians 1:22; Corinthians 5:21). God, The Father sent His only son, Jesus Christ to this world so that through His perfect sacrifice we may have access to God, our Daddy (Isaiah 53; John 3:17; Galatians 4:4-6). CHRIST DIED FOR OUR SINS! You may ask, "Why did God choose this method?" The answer is rather simple, this is the ultimate manifestation of LOVE (John 15:13; Romans 5:5-8; 1John 4:8-9).     As a result, we are NOT saved by our own efforts but by the supreme effort of God (Titus 3:4-7). God has made THE WAY (John 14:6; Hebrews 7:19). However, it is OUR responsibility to respond to the loving call of God. We must acknowledge and confess Jesus Christ and the sacrifice He gave (Romans 10:9-11). We must die to self and start life afresh with Christ as our Lord (John 3:3; Corinthians 5:17).     If you have never been saved or would like to rededicate your life to Christ then please pray the following prayer;     Lord, I acknowledge that I am a sinner and that in my present state there is nothing good in me. I ask you to forgive me of all my sins and of the sin that has naturally been passed to me by inheritance. I claim Jesus Christ's sacrifice on the cross and will cling to it for dear life for it is MY SALVATION. I recognize Jesus as the ONLY way to God. I ask that through His blood you would cleanse me of all unrighteousness. Create in me a new and pure heart. Give me strength to bring my mind and my body in subjection to You. I reject any work of the enemy (Satan) in my life. I declare that by the cross of Christ he is defeated! Thank you for you extreme love and faithfulness to me. There is no God like You. I ask for the fullness of your power through the Holy Spirit to be a witness of what I have experienced. Thank you FATHER!
